| ARTE AVENTURA COSTA RICA Al ver esa multitud en la playa empujando el barco al mar, creí estar viendo el filme Fitzcarrald y entonces pensé que estaba soñando o lo que es mejor, viendo el sueño de alguien más, haciéndose realidad. Al ver el nombre en la popa, me sorprendió que no se llame UTOPIA, sino AURORA DELFIN II. El día del nacimiento
de un barco es el momento en que toca por primera vez el agua, 10
años de sueños y preparación se resumían en ese instante mágico en
que su constructor lo ve al fin flotar.
Pero la verdadera misión de la tripulación es buscar en las playas o flotando, piezas de madera que tengan piedras incrustadas; que en escasas ocasiones se presenta cuando la raíz de un árbol en lugar de expulsarlas las absorbe en un fenómeno llamado Sinergia. Para estos artistas aventureros, la madera representa a las personas y la roca al planeta, ambos unidos en armonía. Así como piezas de este tipo se encuentra una en miles, dicha armonía entre personas y planeta también son casos difíciles de encontrar.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Inspiracion Art Gallery: Galeria Inspiracion is an art gallery located in Playa Santa
Teresa three kilometers north of the crossroads on the mountain side of the road.
Doug Rhodes started the project in 2004 and opened the gallery in 2008.
It started with a dream to have a gallery and work space close to the beach
and for Doug to focus on his work without all the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Doug was born and raised in California. He has shown in galleries for over 20 years
and worked as a freelance artist and animator before he decided to dive into a fine
art only lifestyle in Costa Rica.
The works of Doug Rhodes are inspired by nature and the wild landscape inside his head.
Surreal colorful waves, fish with people looking out of the eye like a porthole, a jungle
landscape inside of a face of a amphibian, a crashing wave inside a woman reflected
by the form of a tree, are a few examples of his creativity. The gallery offers ready
hangable prints of Doug's Paintings from $5 -$20. This way people can take home
beautiful, affordable art for friends, family and themselves.
Inspiracion also shows works of local artists. The artists that live here really do embody
the vivid pure life feeling of Costa Rica. There is no charge to come look at the art and
everyone is welcome.
The Gallery is community focused and has an open doors theory on exhibitions.
Every artist is welcome to show in the exhibitions. The art for the exhibition has
to be new to the gallery, and hopefully newly created. There is an energy that
people like about freshly created art work. It speaks of the moment we are in.
If you are an artist and would like to participate in the exhibitions please
contact the gallery ahead of time. No art will be accepted the day of the show.
Inspiracion also offers workshops and art classes. Art Classes are by appointment only.
All ages are welcome and all skill levels. Painting, Drawing, Collage, Plastic bottle art,
mosaics, Sculpture. Just ask and we will make it happen.

esta razón ellos rescatan piezas de la deriva, las limpian y
barnizan en el mismo taller donde construyeron el barco, así las
preservan para la posteridad y exponen en diferentes galerías de
arte, para que recorran el mundo difundiendo el legado que este
